Sanjay, besides being the founder of Melody Kings, is an award winning London based, classically trained Asian vocalist, having learnt Indian classical music under the guidance of (late) Pandit Vidya Shankar Joshi.

Sanjay has been promoting Asian music in the UK as well as Europe, US & India for almost 30 years now, having released about 10 music albums, some of which have achieved "Album of The Year" awards. Sanjay continues to perform regularly within UK, Europe as well the Canada & the US.

He has performed live on stage with the likes of – Hariharan, Anup Jalota, Ghulam Ali, Bhupinder Singh, Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Rajab Ali, Rafaqat Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, Mahendra Kapoor, Asha Bhosle, Nitin Mukesh, Anuradha Paudval, Kavitha Krishnamurthy, Sadhna Sargam, Usha Uthap & Daler Mehndi to name a few. Sanjay has now taken upon himself to promote British Asian talent and provide them with a suitable platform so that the best of British Asian talent can be acknowledged & appreciated by the Asian communities settled in UK, Europe, Canada, UAE & USA.

Mahendra started his musical journey way back in the seventies and since then he has been an active and a very prominent artist on the Bollywood scene of UK. Mahendra learnt the art of playing dholak from some of the ‘biggies’ of percussion from the music film industry in Mumbai. Similarly, Mahendra learnt congos from Pandit Dinesh, who himself is a retired member of the Mumbai film industry, now residing in UK.

Mahendra has a passion for learning. Mahendra first started his music career in UK by playing congos & dholak in a band, alongside Bali Brahmbhat & Bina Mistry. In the later years, Mahendra started and managed a prominent Bollywood band called Strings, before going freelance in the late nineties. Mahendra has had the privelage of performing with the popular artistes from Bollywood including – Hariharan, Kumar Sanu, Shabbir Kumar, Shaan, Apache Indian to name a few.
